New Springfield MA House Flip

Here is the latest and greatest house renovation the team at Hampden Homebuyers has undertaken!!

We call this home the “Raccoon House” because it sat empty for over 12 years and was taken over by a family of wild raccoons!! They really made a crazy mess of the place, I think the pictures say it all.

We will be doing a full gut renovation on this home, including all new plumbing, new heating system, new electric, new kitchen, new baths, new walls, new floorplan, etc…….. You get the picture; new everything!

The house suffered from quite a bit of deferred maintenance and needed considerable updating and upgrading.

Our renovation will consist of a new roof, new siding, new windows, complete overhaul of the landscaping, new kitchen, new baths, running a new gas line, new heating system, new central air, opening up the floorplan and many other improvements.

New South Hadley Rehab Project

Things are getting crazy here in the great city of Springfield MA. The market is on the move and we are buying and selling houses like it is going out of style.

One recent project that we are wrapping up is this amazing rehab in South Hadley. (Seen Below)

We purchased this home as a short sale after it had sat vacant for some time. Obviously the yard got a bit overgrown and needed some TLC. The inside was just as messy due to some water damage from a couple burst pipes and a dated interior.

Morton St Rehab – Flipped in a Flash

Check out one of our latest rehab properties in Springfield.

We bought this house after it had sat vacant for over a year. Due to being empty for so long the house became a target for thieves and vandals. All the plumbing was removed, the kitchen cabinets were stolen, the gas lines were stolen and even the nice 200 amp electric panel went missing just prior to us closing on the property.

Now these weren’t the lazy thieves that just cut a few copper lines out of the basement and head on there way. No, these guys were good….. they kicked in all the bathroom walls on the first and second floor to get at every little bit of copper that they could. They even got back behind the bathtub and shower and pulled the mixing valves out!!!

 

Here’s a video we shot prior to starting work on the house.

 

 

This flip is a mess!!

What I did like about this property was the floorplan. The kitchen, dining area and living room are all open to each other. The living room has the cathedral ceilings with those nice beams. All four of the bedrooms are large and there is a full bath on each floor. A really nice layout for a Cape.

One more look at our beautiful Kitchen

 

This is a 4 bedroom 2 full bath Cape with around 1,500 square feet and a finished basement. It was built in 1989, so for New England, it’s a fairly new home.
