    Matt,

Was it worth playing the waiting game on a short sale purchase versus a motivated seller or REO ?? We have shied away from SS’s in the past, but might have to reconsider if…

    • Hi Dennis,

If you are willing to wait short sales can definitely be good purchases. Many of the banks have streamlined their processes so the shorts are getting done much faster nowadays.

This one took a little over two months from when we made our offer to when we got an acceptance from the bank.

We tend to sprinkle these short sales in with all the motivated sellers and REO’s that we buy…. I wouldn’t want to rely on them as our only source of deals though.

      Thanks for the comments

  2. Nice! You’ve turned it into a home again! And I like the staging. My only thought would be that maybe the grass needs some seed or fertilizer. But overall great job!

    • Hi Mike,

      Thanks for the comments.

There were two tree stumps in the front lawn that we removed… thats why there are the two big brown spots. We did put some new seed down on the front lawn. With the cooler wet weather we should have a nice lawn coming up soon. Maybe I’ll hit it with some fertilizer to give it some green.
